Share view-only access with people you choose. Require a download password when a file needs an extra check before it leaves the workspace.

Time-limited public links

Create a public link only when you mean to. Cap views or set an expiry so an unlisted URL does not become a permanent open door. Unlisted share URLs stay off the sitemap.

A concrete workflow

Upload a PDF beside the task it supports, preview it in the app, share view-only with a teammate, and require a download password when the file should not leave freely. Create a time-limited public link only when an outsider needs temporary access.
